The term "adjustment" and/or manual manipulation refers to the specific therapeutic procedure applied to the spine or limb that has been determined to have abnormal movement patterns or fails to function fully. The objective of the chiropractic treatment is to reduce or remove joint fixation and/or somatic dysfunction a.k.a. spinal or extremity joint immobility. By promoting increased joint mechanical health, allows for increased mobility, decreased pain, relaxation of muscles, reduced nerve irritability and improved joint function.

The adjustment performed by Dr. Press consists of a high velocity, short lever arm thrust applied to a vertebral segment (spine) or regional joint (Shoulder, Ebow, Wrist, Hip, Knee and/or Ankle/Foot), which is often accompanied by an audible release of gas (joint cavitation). The audible sound results from the release of oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide, which releases joint pressure (cavitation).

Dr. Press is also well trained and has over 25 years experience of providing serveral types of chiropractic techniques, Gonstead, Active Release, Palmer, Diversified, Cox and S.O.T.. Dr. Press utilizes many types of joint and muscle therapies, that may be provided as the most effective and safe procedure suitable for your condition.
